DENVER - A 22-year-old woman was formally charged a mother in connection with the death of her infant son Friday.
Taylor Bush was charged with one count of child abuse resulting in death. According to the Denver District Attorney's Office, in the early morning hours of March 6, Bush called 911 to report that her 4-month-old son, Jomei Johnson, had stopped breathing.
Jomei was taken to the Children's Hospital but died the next day from injuries that included a skull fracture and bleeding in the brain.
Bush remains in custody on a $100,000 bond. She is scheduled to appear in court March 19.
