BRIGHTON, Colo. (AP) - Adams County has agreed to pay nearly $7 million to a family who adopted three severely abused children from foster care and were not told that the traumatized children would need extensive treatment.
The money will go into three trusts, one for each child, to be administered by a court-appointed conservator.
According to the Denver Post, Adams County did not admit any wrongdoing and stands behind its employees.
