DENVER - Police are investigating an incident that left a boy with severe hot water burns Wednesday evening.
At 9:45 p.m., authorities responded to Denver's Best Inn & Suites motel at 4590 Quebec Street on a report of 4 to 5-year-old child with burns.
The boy was transported to a local hospital but needed to be flown to an out-of-state hospital for treatment. His condition was not released.
According to Aaron Kafer with Denver Police, the child was in the room with both of his parents when the incident occurred.
Kafer says the case is being investigated to rule out foul play, which is a standard procedure.
