BRECKENRIDGE - Friday morning, the ski season will start again.
Breckenridge, Vail, Copper Mountain and Powderhorn have all extended their seasons for one more weekend after already closing.
Employees there are happy to be busy again.
At Eric's Restaurant in downtown Breckenridge, manager Chris Fadler and the staff thought with the ski area closed for the season their weekend business would be a little light.
"Staff was going to be cut real thin, kitchen wait staff down around 30 percent," Fadler said.
Breckenridge and a handful of other ski areas decided to reopen after five more feet of snow fell in April. 29
The restaurant quickly changed their mud season plans, bringing employees back and ordering food for the extra rush.
For wait staff like Hanna Barton, the extra weekend means losing a vacation but adding more money to her bank account.
"I was going to go to Moab. It will be a nice last push for us. It will be nice to have," Barton said.
