Cheryl Preheim is the weekend evening anchor.
Cheryl began reporting for 9NEWS in August of 1998, but her first experience in the 9newsroom was as a college intern. She is a graduate of the University of Colorado.
Her first job in journalism was at New Radio 850 KOA. There, she worked her way up through the ranks. She worked as a producer, writer, reporter and fill-in anchor for Colorado's Morning News.
Cheryl has been honored with the National Edward R. Murrow award two times. She's also won 6 Emmys as well as numerous awards from the Colorado Broadcaster's Association and the Associated Press.
Outside of work Cheryl loves to spend time with her family, including her three young children, her friends and working with community organizations. Cheryl has worked closely with the Ronald McDonald House for 10 years. It provides a "home away from home" for children who are facing life threatening illnesses.
