Taking time to reflect on Thanksgiving blessings

KUSA - While Thanksgiving is a busy day often filled with traveling, cooking, eating and a lot of visiting, many Coloradans paused to count their blessings.

For many people 2009 has been a tough year. The economy hit rock bottom, stealing many Colorado jobs and homes. Some Coloradans have struggled with illness, while others have dealt with the loss of family members. Today many people are holding tight to the things that matter the most-family and friends.

9NEWS asked participants at this year's 9Cares Colorado Shares Fall Drive as well as school children from Arkansas Elementary School in Aurora and Boulder Country Day School to share their thoughts on what they're most thankful for.
