According to Mindy Crane with the Colorado Department of Transportation, a passing semi-truck struck the bridge, causing damage to one of the girders.

Crews are wrapping up the inspection but the left lane of the flyover ramp from eastbound I-270 to eastbound I-70 will remain closed until the repairs are completed.

Crane says more information on the repair of the bridge will be available next week.

Motorists on eastbound I-270 needing access to eastbound I-70 can use Quebec Street.
