Why is the flu seasonal?

In lab studies, they found the virus flourishes when humidity levels are below fifty percent. When humidity rises, the virus is not able to infect cells as easily.

However, that doesn't mean you can't catch the flu in the summer. They also found the virus can thrive when humidity is close to one hundred percent.
