A group of restaurant and store owners have recently formed the 14th Street Business District.
Their mission is to promote lodging, dining and entertainment along 14th - from Larimer Street to Colfax Avenue.
Newer developments include the Spire and the Four Seasons, and there are plans for other new businesses to move onto the street, although they're being kept under wraps.
The group hopes to create a street that'll rival and compliment a popular and established neighbor.
"14th Street, the Ambassador Street as they call it, is really the street with a lot of high rises, the theater district, and some great dining," said Allen Milham, a member of the group and owner of Crave Dessert Bar & Lounge. "And so I really think that it will play off and feed off of Larimer Square as another option for dining and entertainment."
Members of the 14th Street Business District will hold their first meeting next Thursday. They say they hope to hold three events this year to promote all the street has to offer.
