Frick relies on the dog to alert her to seizures. Casey is an important part of Frick's life, which is why when she discovered the dog had been taken from her yard - the overwhelming feeling was one of panic.
When Frick discovered the gate in front of her home had been opened, she immediately began calling for the dog. Neighbors heard her calling for Casey and joined in the search.
A neighbor eventually found the dog several blocks away in the possession of two men.
The neighbor was able to convince the men to release Casey to him. The neighbor then brought Casey back to Frick.
"Casey came in the door and he was so shaken, he was trembling and I just fell on my knees and grabbed him," Frick said. "His collar is gone. They took his collar off of him."
Frick says she is not interested in knowing who took Casey or why. She is simply happy to have him back and is eternally grateful for the neighbors who helped find him.
"He won't leave my side now. I can't walk anywhere. He is right there," Frick said.
