WESTMINSTER - A 23-year-old woman is facing several felony charges following a deadly wrong-way crash that killed her passenger Wednesday morning.
Britni June Bunn is currently being held on charges including vehicular homicide, vehicular assault, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, driving under the influence of alcohol, driving on the wrong side of the road and failure to provide valid insurance.
Just after 2:45 a.m., Westminster Police say a Ford SUV driven by Bunn was traveling the wrong way on the Boulder Turnpike and collided with an Acura coupe.
Westminster Police Department Investigator Cheri Spottke says 25-year-old Vincent Michael James Gibson of Broomfield died on scene. Bunn, as well as the driver and a passenger in the Acura, were taken to area hospitals.
According to a police report, police did find marijuana in the Bunn's car. They also say they found a small amount of cocaine in the car.
The report also suggests Bunn admitted to having five margaritas that night.
No bond was set on the case.
The two women in the Acura continue to recover from their injuries.
