WESTMINSTER - Just hours before Westminster Police say she hopped on the Boulder turnpike heading west in the eastbound lanes, Britni Bunn was posting on Facebook pictures of margaritas and seemingly drunken friends at a local bar.
It's unclear if any of the pictures can be used against her in court, but on Thursday Westminster Police confirmed they were taking a close look at the pictures as they try to build a vehicular homicide case against the 23-year-old.
Court documents suggest that Bunn admitted to drinking "five margaritas" in the hours before the crash that killed Vincent Gibson, 25. One time-stamped photo on her Facebook page shows a margarita at 8:06 p.m. Another photo shows a margarita at 10:38 p.m. on Tuesday night.
The crash occurred a little before 3 a.m. on Wednesday. Two women in the car hit by Bunn's car were injured, but both are continuing to recover. One remains in the hospital in good condition and the other has been released.
Bunn's Facebook page also has a number of pictures of marijuana on it. Westminster Police say they found a "jar of marijuana" in Bunn's wrecked car as well as a baggie with what was believed to be cocaine in it.
Bunn briefly appeared in Jefferson County Court on Thursday morning. A judge set her bond at $20,000. Next week, prosecutors will file criminal charges against Bunn.
