"We have gotten two feet of snow in a couple of weeks and we are opening a lot of terrain," said Sellers.

Opening terrain is a part of the job that has Pip Baehler with Loveland Ski Patrol and his crew busy.

"Over the past 17, days we have had 45 inches of snow," said Baehler.

It's good work because in the back country avalanche danger has continued to be a problem with areas east of the Continental Divide remaining dangerous.

"Big slides some ten feet deep," said Baehler.

It's why experts say keeping back from the backcountry may be a good idea while they work on opening more terrain inbounds.

"We encourage people to stay in bounds when the snowpack settles and enjoy some of the new terrain we have here to offer," said Sellers.
