Eighty-year-old Arthur Bartell is more than just a casual fan - he's an advertising veteran with an impressive resume.

"If you've done it, you're not bragging," said Bartell, smiling.

Take a tour around his home, and he will show you photos of him with John Elway. He will tell you about how he was friends with the actor Paul Newman, and he will show you his CLIO awards.

CLIOS are like Oscars in the advertising world.

Bartell has won 13, which is a handful more than anybody else has ever won, according to Bartell.

"You've heard of mileage plus? I invented that idea," said Bartell, who says he also engineered the advertising for Newman's Own salad dressing at Burger King stores.

In the twilight of his career, he has worked on promotional products for sports teams. His projects have involved the Rockies, the Broncos and many others. Now, he is working for the Giants as the Super Bowl approaches.

He and a business partner in Fort Collins are equipping the Giants with custom luggage tags, wristbands, even lanyards.

"When they're interviewing players, you'll see many of them wearing my lanyards," said Bartell.

He has worked for Super Bowl contenders before. And yet his gamble, worth thousands of dollars in pre-made Giants Super Bowl goodies, isn't any less risky.

"I'm not rooting for them. I'm begging for them to win!" said Bartell, smiling.

The company is called Proforma Big Dog Branding, and they supply the concepts and the art. The actual products are manufactured offsite.

Bartell is ready to move quickly and produce upwards of 200,000 commemorative Giants coins to toss off floats during their victory parade.
