CSU football player arrested

FORT COLLINS – Colorado State University football player Devin McWilliams was arrested early Sunday morning.

At about 12:40 a.m., Fort Collins Police arrived at a large house party. The police noticed a vehicle that was stopped in the middle of the road just outside of the house and watched a man step out of the car with what appeared to be a rifle.

The police immediately approached the male with guns drawn and took him into custody.

The man was reported as McWilliams, a 20-year-old sophomore and defensive tackle with CSU.

McWilliams was arrested for disorderly conduct as well as the prohibited use of a firearm. He is next scheduled court apperance is on September 5 at 8:30 a.m.

The rifle police say McWilliams was holding was later determined to be a pellet gun.
