The Rockies say they will use the same Ticket Lottery System they have used at Coors Field since 1995 to ensure a positive experience for fans, but this year, they are making a few changes to how fans will enter the lottery.

According to the baseball club, a random drawing will be held to determine the order of lines that will go up to the ticket window for an opportunity to purchase Opening Day Rockpile tickets, based on availability.

The drawing will be held on Opening Day, April 7, outside the Rockpile ticket windows located at Gate A.

Parking lot A will open at 7 a.m. and random numbered wristbands will be distributed beginning at 7:30 a.m. through 9:30 a.m.

The tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m.

Rockies say that there is no advantage to being first in line for a wristband because all fans receiving a wristband will have an equal opportunity to be selected from the random drawing.

Opening Day Rockpile tickets will be sold only by the ticket lottery system.
