Up before the sun on most days athletes like Hannah Teter are heading to the frozen pipe to work on new tricks and start their planning for the 2014 Olympic Games.
"I start learning new tricks and I start getting that run down that I know will qualify me to go to Sochi," said Teter.
With the Games only 14 months away, this season is the make or break year for winter athletes like Louie Vito aiming for Olympic gold next February.
"The Olympic qualifiers are bam, bam, bam, bam if you take a slam you have to be ready to go to the next one if you miss one that could be your shot at the Olympics," said Vito.
Three-time Olympian Kelly Clark is also training at Copper Mountain and says she is working hard to make sure she gets another shot at gold.
"I'm pretty sure I have been to most snowboard events out there and I can tell you there is nothing like the Olympics," said Clark.
