BOULDER - Shining Mountain was able to upset Kent Denver in overtime Tuesday night, after going 11 of 17 from 3-point range, on their way to a 76-72 victory.

Both teams were undefeated entering the game, however, Shining Mountain who is only a 1A school was trying to prove they could hang with the top team in 3A, Kent Denver.

Shining Mountain saw a nine point lead slowly disappear in the final minutes of the 4th quarter, as Kent Denver was able to fight back and force overtime.

With just four seconds remaining in overtime, Garrett Johnston made two free-throws to secure the 76-72 win for the Lions.

Johnston was the teams leading scorer with 19 points.
