Unforgettable moments. The chance to see something you've never seen before. It's what makes sports so great. Lewis-Palmer's Anna Olson gave us one recently. And it was a complete accident.

"It was pretty unbelievable," she said reacting to her own shot.

A 1-handed, 75 foot shot, that bounced in.

"It was on ESPN, CNN, Good Morning America, Today show," Olson told 9NEWS.

Lewis-Palmer's video has been everywhere, but it never should have happened. The Rangers student section tried the old trick of counting down the shot clock early, in hopes of forcing Cheyenne Mountain in to rushing a shot.

"But they actually fooled me," said Olson, "so I got the outlet and I thought there was 2 seconds left so I thought I would just chuck this up over there".

There was actually about 12 seconds left when she released the ball.

"But the cool part about that is if she had thrown it right at the buzzer and it hit the floor, it wouldn't have counted," head coach Joel Babbitt told 9NEWS.

A lot had to happen for that shot to go in, and count. Could it happen again?

We tried recreating the shot at practice. Anna took shot after shot. I tried multiple times. Her teammates even got in on the act. But nobody was able to bounce one in. It's just further proof that Anna Olson's unlikely shot is something we may never see again.
