Cody Pfau of Grand Valley High School loses her quarterfinal match at the CHSAA Colorado State Wrestling Championships.
DENVER - 24-hours after becoming the first girl to ever win a match in the championship bracket at the CHSAA Colorado State Wrestling Tournament, Cody Pfau of Grand Valley High School lost in quarterfinals of the Class 3A 106-pound division.
Pfau lost 17-2 to Tel Kelley of Alamosa High School who will advance to the semifinals later today.
On Thursday, Pfau became the first female wrestler to win a "championship" match at the State Championships when she won a 6-5 decision over Ferdinando Martinez of Fort Lupton.
