Denver East beat South 74-67 Friday night in a Denver Public League game.

The Angels win the DPL with a perfect 8-0 record. They also finished the season 21-2 overall and on a 13 game winning streak. They did not lose to an in-state opponent this season and will be the favorite to win the 5A title.

South finishes the season 17-6 overall with a 5-3 league record.

Elsewhere in the DPL Thomas Jefferson beat Kennedy to finish second in the conference with a 6-2 record.
