FORT COLLINS - Colorado State University officials say quarterback Pete Thomas is leaving the school.

Thomas was signed as a freshman at CSU, according to the athletic department, and played both the 2010 and 2011 seasons. Athletic Director Jack Graham says he has released Thomas from his scholarship.

"We appreciate all that Pete gave to Colorado State University during his two years with us, and we wish him the best," said Graham.

It is unclear where Thomas is planning on attending school next semester.
