Tallahassee, FL (Sports Network) - Antoine Allen had 21 points and Freddie
Goldstein hit three free throws late in the game as South Alabama upset No. 25
Florida State, 76-71, as part of the Coaches vs. Cancer Classic to open the
season.
Goldstein had 11 points and five rebounds, Augustine Rubit added 12 points
while Mychal Ammons had 11 points and 11 boards for the Jaguars (1-0), who
posted 17 wins last season.
Montay Brandon and Terry Whisnant II each had 11 points while Terrance Shannon
and Michael Snaer each added 10 for the Seminoles (0-1), who won their first
ACC tournament championship last season, but lost to Cincinnati in the third
round of the NCAA Tournament.
