Moscow, ID (Sports Network) - Cole Darling scored 18 points to lead the Wright
State Raiders to an 80-70 win in the season opener against the Idaho Vandals
at Memorial Gym.
J.T. Yoho had 17 points off the bench for Wright State (1-0) while A.J. Pacher
and Reggie Arceneaux each added 10. Pacher had a team-high seven rebounds as
well.
Kyle Barone finished with team-highs of 18 points and nine rebounds for Idaho
(0-1). Mansa Habeeb had 14 points off the bench and Stephen Madison added 11
points, nine of which came from the free throw line.
Wright State led 40-29 after connecting on 14-of-32 field goal attempts in the
first half. Idaho hit 47.6 percent of its shots but had only 10 first-half
field goals. Wright State also outscored the Vandals 15-3 from the three-point
line.
In the second half Idaho kept pace with the Raiders but was unable to cut into
the lead significantly. The Vandals connected on 13-of-22 shot attempts while
Wright State was successful on 13-of-27.
Idaho lost despite a 32-26 advantage on the boards by committing more than
twice as many turnovers as Wright State (13-6).
