Ithaca, NY (Sports Network) - Ian Hummer scored 23 points and collected seven
rebounds to lead the Princeton Tigers to a 72-53 victory over the Cornell Big
Red in Ivy League action at Newman Arena.
Will Barrett had 13 points and also brought in seven rebounds while Denton
Koon tallied 11 points for Princeton (14-9, 7-2 Ivy League) which has won
three of its last four contests.
Shonn Miller posted a double-double of 23 points and 10 rebounds for Cornell
(13-14, 5-5) which has lost consecutive games after a three-game winning
streak.
Princeton rolled to a 33-14 lead at halftime by shooting 57.9 percent from
the field while holding Cornell to just five field goals on 15.6 percent
shooting.
Both teams shot above 50 percent from the floor in the second half but the
Tigers hit 14-of-15 from the free-throw line to coast to the victory.
The Tigers had a 32-26 edge in rebounds in the contest.
