CU cornerback Isaiah Oliver to forego senior season, declare for NFL Draft

KUSA - For the second straight year, Buffs fans can expect to hear a familiar name called this April at the NFL Draft.

Star Colorado Buffaloes cornerback Isaiah Oliver announced Friday that he will be foregoing his senior season in college and declaring for the 2018 NFL Draft.

Projected by many media outlets to be a first round pick, Oliver figured the chance to leave now and possibly be a high selection was too good to pass up.

"Playing in the NFL has been a goal of mine," Oliver said in a post he tweeted out Friday night. "I believe it's time to pursue this opportunity and provide for my family."

The junior finishes his career at CU with three interceptions, 32 pass break-ups and 71 tackles.

This year, Oliver played 10 games and had 2 picks and 27 tackles.

The 2018 NFL Draft takes place April 26-28 at AT&T stadium in Arlington, Texas.
