Disabled athletes with Paralympic dreams to compete in Winter Park

DENVER BUSINESS JOURNAL - When Becky Zimmermann watched the 2014 Winter Paralympic Games on television, it meant a lot to her that 34 athletes from six countries had once trained in Colorado.

She runs the Colorado-based National Sports Center for the Disabled, where athletes of all ages, physical, cognitive and behavioral disabilities participate in athletic training programs.

NSCD will host its 41st annual Wells Fargo Ski Cup Feb. 26-28 at Winter Park Resort. The organization expects to raise about $250,000.
