Foxboro, MA (Sports Network) - New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski
will miss the rest of the postseason after aggravating a prior injury to his
left forearm during Sunday's AFC Divisional Playoff game against the
Houston Texans, according to ProFootball Talk.
Gronkowski fell hard on the arm on an incomplete pass in his direction during
the Patriots' second series of the game. The Pro Bowl selection went to the
locker room for an apparent x-ray immediately afterward and did not
return for New England's remaining drives of the first half.
The third-year standout missed five games during the regular season after
fracturing his left arm in a victory over Indianapolis on Nov. 18, but
returned to action for the team's Week 17 finale against Miami.
Running back Danny Woodhead also departed the contest in the opening quarter
with a thumb injury and did not return.
