LAKEWOOD -- The Alameda Pirates fell to the Thomas Jefferson Spartans 29-14 on Friday evening.

The Spartans scored in their first play of the game on a toss from Dane Washington to Justin Vigil for a close to 40 yard touchdown.

Although the start looked promising for the Spartans, the Pirates gave them a close game in the first half. Both teams exchanged fumbles in back-to-back drives before TJ would get on the board again.

Up 14-0, the Spartans would give up a long toss for a score allowing Alameda to get on the board. Pirates' Anthony Lawson connects with receiver Isiah Lawson.

After a successful two-point conversion, Thomas Jefferson lead Alameda 14-9.

In the second half, the Pirates would tie the game 14-14, but from there it was all Thomas Jefferson.

The Spartans would score twice more including a quarterback keeper for Washington and a successful two-point conversion.

Thomas Jefferson remains an undefeated 3-0 and will play Skyview for their homecoming game next Friday.
