Denver East and Palmer Ridge field hockey teams both remain undefeated after 0-0 draw

East and Palmer Ridge tie in Field Hockey

DENVER-- With both schools coming into this matchup undefeated, one team would likely be going home disappointed after its first loss of the 2016 season.

Or, at least, that's what everyone at All-City Stadium probably thought.

But, not even overtime could determine a winner between the Denver East and Palmer Ridge field hockey teams, as the game ended in a 0-0 tie.

Both teams had several golden opportunities to put one in the back of the net, including some great chances on both sides in the ten minute overtime period.

However, goalies Addy Ptacek of East and Keelin Broeker of Palmer Ridge were fantastic all game, making several remarkable saves to keep things knotted at zero.

With the tie, the Angels are now 5-0-1 on the year, and the Bears sit at 4-0-1.

Palmer Ridge has a quick turnaround with another tough test against Grandview Thursday, while East will look to stay undefeated in its next game in a little over a week.
