DENVER -- Despite tremendous pitching from Kennedy's Mikayla Marquez, the D'Evelyn Jaguars tally nine runs to beat the Commanders in seven innings.
Coming out with a commanding presence on the mound, Kennedy dropped five runs in the first two innings. D'Evelyn's Isabella Porreco would hit triple to right field for a three-run RBI to increase the lead in the second inning.
Marquez would continue to battle for her team hitting a single then stealing second and third base before running home the next batter. Despite her attempts to bring her team back, the Jaguar hitters were too consistent scoring another four runs in the fourth and fifth innings.
D'Evelyn holds their lead to win the game 9-3 after seven innings of play.
The Jaguars will face Durango on Saturday.
