Finesilver twins taking the next step together

Where there is one, there is the other.

"I don't know if we'd be where we are at with out pushing each other," said Cherry Creek graduate Mitch Finesilver.

He and his twin brother Zach have grown up, gotten in to wrestling, and turned in to state champions together. It hasn't always been smooth, they are of course twin siblings.

"It can get pretty ugly," said Mitch with a smile.

"If he was just a pushover, well he kind of is," added Zach jokingly. "It really helps the competition dynamic."

"We hate, hate losing to each other in anything," said Mitch.

The brothers have pushed one another to an elite level. Enough so that they'll both be Division One wrestlers. Once again, they'll be side by side. Mitch and Zach are heading to duke together this fall.

"I'm stoked. Obviously I couldn't picture doing it with anybody else," Zach told 9NEWS. "Through out high school we've cried, cheered, and worked together and now we'll get to do that the rest of our lives but in college too."

They are aware that there can be a stigma.

"Nobody wants to be those twins," Mitch told 9NEWS.

But the Finesilvers also know they'll never have a closer friend. That's probably why they'll do one more thing together next season. They'll be freshman year roommates at Duke.
