Lutheran's strong air game buries Skyview in homecoming game

Lutheran vs. Skyview football extended highlights Oct. 21

PARKER - In front of a packed homecoming crowd, the Lutheran Lions buried Skyview 42-0 Friday night.

Lutheran proved to be the stronger opponent in the air, and that ultimately made the difference. Quarterback Will Willis connected with Nick Ciccio for a 78-yard touchdown with eight minutes remaining in the first quarter. It would be the first of many scores by the Lions, and would open the floodgates. The two later connected in the second quarter for a 52-yard touchdown on an impressive one-handed grab by Ciccio.

Tyler Essegian also made a jaw-dropping diving grab at the end of the first half to put the Lions ahead 28-0, and the momentum carried through to the final two quarters.

Lutheran improved to 6-2 on the season, and will play Conifer next Friday.
