LONGMONT--Senior Quarterback Luke Puchino didn't have to look too far to help Longmont Christian snap its 18-game losing streak.
He didn't even have to look any farther than his own family.
Puchino connected with his younger brother--6'7" Freshman Wide Receiver Dominic Puchino--over and over again Friday night as the Warriors rolled over Mountain Valley 71-20.
The Indians were right in the ball game for most of the first half, and even led to start the game when Isaih Wellman ran for a touchdown, just barely stretching the football across the goal line to make it 7-0 Mountain Valley.
However, the Puchino brothers immediately responded with a long touchdown bomb, continuing their record-setting ways from the week before where Luke threw for nine touchdowns and 706 yards. .
Shortly thereafter, Puchino found his other target, Cameron Jauregui, for a score to give Longmont Christian its first lead of the night.
From there, the teams traded scores back-and-forth, with Mountain Valley Quarterback Drew Martinez finding Jared Sheppard and David Hammel for touchdowns to keep the game close.
But, after leading by a score of only 38-20 at the half, the Warriors rattled off 33 consecutive points in the second half to pull away big and win their first game of the 2016 season.
