LITTLETON - The No. 4 Arapahoe Warriors played host to the No. 3 Regis Jesuit Raiders on Tuesday evening in a top five 5A boys lacrosse face-off.
Both teams have been lacrosse powerhouses in Colorado for years and this year is no different. Neither was ready to give up the first tally of start the game, but once the first was netted, goals came quick on both ends of the field.
The Warriors struck first and then again for an early 2-0 lead; however, the Raiders would call with three quick unanswered goals of their own for the lead.
Back and forth the two went until at the end of the first half, the two knotted 4-4.
The Raiders defense tightened up in the final half, only allowing two goals--one in the third quarter and one in the fourth.
Despite Warriors' goalkeeper, Ethan Ferries' seven saves in the game, Regis would net eight goals in the second half for a commanding lead and the 12-6 win.
The Raiders cap their regular season with a big win against Arapahoe before heading into playoffs on May 10.
