Skyview soccer nets five goals in the 2nd half to pull away from Fort Lupton

Skyview beats Fort Lupton 6-1.

THORNTON-- The scoreboard at the time might not have reflected it, but the Wolverines were dominating at halftime in a game where they only led 1-0 over visiting Fort Lupton.

Fittingly, the score at the end was a much better indication of how this matchup went.

After missing on several scoring chances in the first half, Skyview's constant attacks finally turned into scores--five of them--in the second half as the Wolverines beat the Bluedevils 6-1.

Senior Giovanni Delafuente had the lone goal at the break, but then tacked on two more in the second half to complete the hat trick and help Skyview pull away.

Freshman Jared Ramos also knocked in a pair of goals for the Wolverines, and Fuad Elamo added one more to round out the scoring.

Christian Angel had the only goal for Fort Lupton, which fell to 6-5 on the year with the loss.

Skyview's victory moved the Wolverines to 7-3 overall.
