Smoky Hill head coach delivers emotional speech after loss

Smoky Hill High School had two weeks to prepare for their "zero week" contest against Overland.

As you might expect it didn't go well. The Buffaloes lost 50-15.

New interim head coach Preston Davis took over the team 1 day before fall practice began. He also had to slap a coaching staff together in that 24 hour window. This, after the school decided to make a change because previous head coach, Justin Hoffman, was interested in a job outside of Smoky Hill.

A brand new coaching staff with a brand new scheme and the team had two weeks to learn it. They were set up for a tough experience. Despite the 50-15 loss the new coaches were proud of their teams effort, particularly Davis. He delivered this emotional speech after Saturday's loss.
