Troy Tulowitzki placed on 15-day disabled list

KUSA - The Colorado Rockies announced today that they have placed infielder Troy Tulowitzki on the 15-day disabled list and have recalled left-handed pitcher Yohan Flande from Triple-A Colorado Springs, who is scheduled to start for the Rockies tonight at Coors Field as they host the Nationals at 6:40 p.m.

Tulowitzki is being placed on the disabled list with a left hip flexor strain after leaving Saturday's game against the Pirates early, when he ran out a ground ball and reached for his leg halfway down the first base line.

Flande has made three starts for the Rockies this season, going 0-2 with a 7.36 ERA. His Major League debut was against the Cardinals on June 25th, where he went five innings and allowed four runs in a no-decision.
