DACONO - Denver's Race for the Cure happens on Sunday, but at Colorado National Speedway on Saturday night, there will be pink on the race track.

Eric "Blackie" Blackard will "Race for the Cure" in memory of Jennie Williams, a member of the Walbaum No. 8 Sportsman team and cancer survivor Cheryl Bower, a member of 3R Racing.

Blackard's No. 46 Sportsman Monte Carlo is usually green, but will display decals in honor of breast cancer. He and his wife Paula have asked their team sponsors to match their winnings from Saturday's race and donate them to Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. So far, the team has received a positive response with some sponsors willing and able to do more.

Blackard Racing invites everyone to join them Saturday night at Colorado National Speedway for a great night of auto racing and join them in the pits after the race. The hood of the No. 46 will be on display for people to sign in memory of breast cancer victims or survivors. The team will race with that hood for the rest of the season.
