Nuggets to work out first-round prospects in Denver

The Denver Nuggets are calling all available sharpshooters.

On Friday and Saturday (June 13th and 14th), the Nuggets will host two more invitational draft workouts for players in this year's NBA Draft, with the majority of those invitees being prospective shooting guards . Among those players expected Friday: Nick Johnson (Arizona), Jerelle Benimon (Towson), Brandon Jefferson (Metropolitan State), and Isaiah Sykes (UCF). Players that are expected in attendance on Saturday include: Tarik Black (Kansas), Clint Capela (France), Tyler Ennis (Syracuse), Zach LaVine (UCLA), Casey Prather (Florida), and James Young (Kentucky).

The names of those listed are subject to change, per the team's media release.

The Nuggets hold the No. 11 pick in this year's draft, and are believed to be interested in a scoring guard or small forward. Of those players invited, only Prather, Young, Ennis, LaVine, and Capela are projected to be picked within the first fifteen selections. Also of note, Metro State's Jefferson has been the only player invited to the public workouts.
