KUSA - So you're saying there's a chance.
With a slim and nearly trivial 1.5-percent chance of earning the No. 1 overall pick, the Denver Nuggets await the drawing of the National Basketball League lottery that will set the order for the upcoming draft Tuesday.
Based on their finish in the standing and their trade with the New York Knicks and Orlando Magic, Denver could have the first selection.
The Nuggets have a 5.7-percent probability of choosing in the top-three.
It's very unlikely, but certainly possible.
The Milwaukee Bucks won only 15 games all season but they now have a 25-percent chance of being able to make the first selection. The odds for Philadelphia and Orlando are slightly smaller at 19.9 percent and 15.6 percent respectively.
The NBA lottery will take place at 6 p.m.
The last time the Nuggets had a chance at the No. 1 pick was in 2003. They had a 22.5 percent chance of being awarded the first selection and they missed out. Instead, Denver chose third and landed Carmelo Anthony.
