Shaw rejects any interest for Knicks head coaching job

KUSA - Brian Shaw played under Phil Jackson. He coached under him as well. But he dismissed any rumor that he'd be enticed to coach for Jackson with the New York Knicks.

"I'm not interested in doing anything other than what I'm doing now," the Nuggets head coach told Chris Dempsey of the Denver Post.

Jackson was recently hired as President for the Knicks and put in charge of bringing New York back to success.

Shaw had a tumultuous first season as the head coach of the Nuggets that was stymied due to injuries. He still enters the second year of his 3-year deal with confidence that they can compete in tough Western Conference.

The Knicks missed out on picking up Steve Kerr – who also played for Jackson with the Bulls – as he landed with the Golden State Warriors instead. Despite the allure of the high profile job, Kerr decided to stay closer to his home and with a team that won 51 games this past season.
