9 facts that even die-hard Broncos fans may not know

DENVER - The Denver Broncos start the 2016 season Thursday against the Carolina Panthers. You probably know a lot about the team -- but you can always learn more!

So, we got the inside scoop on some Broncos facts that even die-hard fans might not know from Seth Medvin, the Broncos media relations coordinator.

See what we learned below!

1) The stadium goes through about 300, 1000 foot rolls of toilet paper each game. When they order the toilet paper, they stock up for two games at a time.

2) The top-selling foods during games are hot dogs, hamburgers and nachos – but they anticipate their new menu items will be popular with fans. New items include the Frito Pie, Pepperoni Rolls and the locally-sourced sausages. The sausages can be found at the Bud and Brats stands.

3) There are 17 different types of craft beer sold throughout the stadium -- 12 of which are locally brewed in Colorado.

4) This year, they are featuring the ‘United in Orange Pale Ale.' This is the first project of its kind for the Broncos organization. It’s a collaborative beer brewed with Breckenridge Brewery exclusively for Mile High Stadium. This beer will only be sold at Mile High Stadium and their two brewery locations in Littleton and Breckenridge.

5) More than 3,000 staff members (a mix of full-time, part-time and volunteers) help contribute to making a great experience for the fans.

“It really comes down to a total team effort, so the credit is due to everyone working together with the same common goal – the fan experience,” Medvin said

6) Crews started cleaning the stadium for Thursday’s game right after the Rocky Mountain Showdown on Friday, Sept. 2.

7) For Broncos fans who make it down to Thursday’s game early, there will be three Super Bowl 50 statues (1600 lbs. each). One south by Sports Legends Mall, one north between Gates 4/5 and one west near Gate 2. These make great backdrops for pictures and selfies for fans & visitors.

8) You are not allowed to park in the neighborhoods surrounding the stadium. Fans who park in these areas may end up with heavy fines and potentially towed cars.

9) The Broncos locker-room playlist.

DJ Bedz said these are a few of their go-to's: DJ Khaled feat. Jay-Z / I Got The Keys (Ware), Dae Dae / Wat U Mean (E. Sanders), Ace Hood / 4th Quarter (Von Miller), YG / Why You Always Hatin' (CJ Anderson), Kanye West / Champions (Brandon Marshall)
