9 ways to get to the Denver Broncos game

DENVER - If you are headed to Sunday's Denver Broncos game, there are many options when it comes to transportation and safe travel.

9NEWS has compiled the top nine ways to get to Sports Authority Field at Mile High, stocked with links, resources and interactive maps to help save you time and get the most out of your playoff experience.

Park your car

There are 6,500 on site parking spots at the stadium and 12,000 offsite parking spots in the surrounding neighborhoods. Of course, you'll need a permit or cash for both. Keep in mind, parking on neighborhood side streets is illegal on game days. Even though the game is on a Sunday, this does not mean free parking in the local neighborhoods. When choosing an offsite lot, look for a "special event parking sign" issued by the City & County of Denver. If you are inquiring about ADA parking permits, you must call 720-258-3337. Information on parking at Sports Authority Field: http://bit.ly/1BHSVHo.

Get dropped off at Sports Authority Field

Drop-offs at Sports Authority Field at Mile High should occur on the west side of the stadium on 18th or 19th Avenue in between Federal Boulevard and Mile High Stadium Circle.

Walk to the stadium

You'll burn between 120 and 200 calories during a 30-minute walk, which is about a third of a soft pretzel ... so you may want to walk home too.

Hail a taxi

Companies like Metro Taxi and Union Taxi both have apps that can help you access a ride to and from the game and there are designated taxi drop-off zones at the Sports Authority. A taxi stand is located outside the stadium on Bryant Street along the pedestrian walkway outside the Gate 5 area on the northeast corner of the building.

Use the free Broncos bike valet

The bike valet will operate starting three hours prior to kickoff until one hour after the game. Hours of operation for other events will be determined on a case by case basis. Just like a coat check, you sign a claim check and give us your bike. We give you the ticket stub. After the event, you return the stub and we give you your bike back. e a coat check, you sign a claim check and give us your bike. We give you the ticket stub.
