The Broncos Defense will have two new captains this year. DeMarcus Ware and Terrance Knighton were voted to lead the Broncos defense.

Ware was a team captain for the Dallas Cowboys for five years before coming to the Broncos. Knighton will wear the "C" on his jersey for the first time since he was a captain in college at Temple University.

"As a captain you represent the Broncos, you're one of the faces of the team and you have to hold yourself to a higher standard," Knighton said following practice Monday.

For the second year the Broncos special team captain will be David Bruton. Bruton is in his sixth season has 39 special-teams tackles since he joined the team in 2009.
