Broncos draft offensive tackle from Michigan in third round

KUSA- With the 95th selection in the NFL Draft the Denver Broncos selected offensive tackle Michael Schofield from Michigan. Schofield played both right tackle and left guard at Michigan.

During Schofield's phone interview Friday night, 9News sports anchor Drew Soicher asked how it feels to be drafted into a Super Bowl contending team?

"That is the best possible situation be in and playing with Peyton Manning is a dream come true," Schofield answered.

At six-feet seven-inches and 305 pounds Schofield hopes to bolster an offensive line that was rattled by the Seahawks in the Super Bowl.

"He has a lot of versatility and will bring great competition to the offensive line," Executive vice-president of football operations/general manager John Elway said. "By the time we get done with the Draft tomorrow they're going to call us the Big-10 Broncos," John Elway said after the Broncos third straight pick from the Big-10 conference.
