Broncos to 'start over' Monday, begin offseason workouts

Day one.

For Peyton Manning, the first official day of offseason workouts couldn't come soon enough. The National Football League sets the date in which teams can reconvene at their facilities and get back to work for the upcoming season. For the Broncos, that day is Monday.

The way last season ended – he has already emphasized Denver's need to "finish" even before they've begun – or his consummate workers mentality hasn't allowed him to relax. Manning is thinking ahead to Super Bowl XLIX, the playoffs, the regular season, training camp and, of course, the first day with his new team in 2014.

"There is no question you have to kind of start over again and re-establish the chemistry on this team with all these new players," Manning said just days prior. Over the next two weeks the Broncos are only allowed to strength and conditioning activities though. "I think that's important."

The quarterback has already hosted several workouts with his wide receivers at Duke University in an effort to dispatch the process.

The Broncos hope to end their work in 286 days, in Glendale, Arizona amid masses of orange and blue confetti.
