Latimer oranged out, uses basketball background to his advantage

KUSA - The only difference between Cody Latimer's senior prom and his introductory press conference with the Broncos was the boutonniere. Really. He didn't buy the orange shirt and shoes for this special for occasion.

"There was just something that really told me to bring it to New York and then it just happened to work out perfectly," he said.

The second round pick will fit in well with Denver - and not just because of the stylish outfit. General manager John Elway feels that Latimer can come in and make an immediately impact.

"If there was ever a guy that was mean to be a Bronco, it was Cody," Elway asserted.

Latimore - who played basketball all the way through high school - caught 72 passes caught for 1,096 yards and nine touchdowns last season at Indiana. His athletic background helped move him up the draft board with an impressive pro day.
