Broncos next game against Chiefs flexed to 9NEWS primetime

ENGLEWOOD—Jets? The NFL and Sunday Night Football don’t want no stinkin’ Jets.

Not even with Tom Brady as an opponent does anyone want to watch the Jets. Not when a prime-time audience can tune in for an AFC West showdown between the 7-3 Denver Broncos and currently 7-2 Kansas City Chiefs.

The Broncos-Chiefs game originally scheduled to begin at 2:25 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 27 at soon-to-be-renamed Sports Authority Field at Mile High will now kick off at 6:30 p.m.

The league and NBC announced today that the Broncos-Chiefs’ game has been flexed from the CBS network into the prime-time slot, replacing what had been a matchup between the 7-2 New England Patriots and 3-7 New York Jets.

The game on Nov. 27 will be the Broncos’ fifth prime-time game of the season and they will have a sixth on Christmas night against the Chiefs in Kansas City. The Broncos are so far 2-2 in prime-time games this year.
