More commercials in Manning's future

KUSA - Denver Broncos Quarterback Peyton Manning announced a new business partnership Friday afternoon at Dove Valley.

Manning has signed a new, multi-year marketing partnership with Nationwide Insurance.

"I'm excited about my new partnership with Nationwide," Manning said. "I view myself as more than a football player just like Nationwide is 'More Than A Business.' Together, we can help people successfully plan for the future and give back to the community."

As part of the agreement, Manning will work with the Nationwide family of companies to support consumer and business offerings in the auto, home, life and retirement categories. Manning will also be featured in national advertising campaigns.

Nationwide has also announced an expanded relationship with the Denver Broncos as a whole.

Manning is more than just a leader on the football field, he's a leader in the business world as well.

The 38-year-old is the NFL's top product endorser and one of the most marketable athletes in American sports. From DirectTV to Gatorade to Buick, No. 18 is everywhere.

Manning also owns 21 Papa John's pizza stores in Denver and his wife, Ashley, is a part owner of the Memphis Grizzlies.

Manning also spends a great deal of time giving back. He has his PeyBack Foundation, which this past Wednesday announced $1 million in donations to community agencies in Colorado, Tennessee, Louisiana and Indiana serving youth and at-risk children and families.

This summer, he also spent time helping out friend John Lynch with his Salute the Stars Foundation. Manning also spoke at graduation at the University of Virginia, where his wife went to school.

All of this in addition to what Manning does on the field, an NFL record 55 touchdowns and 5th MVP last season, plus of course leading the Broncos to the Super Bowl.
